Appointments

Consultations are by face to face appointment and these can be booked over the telephone on 01745 812689 or in person at the surgery.  Routine, advance appointments can also be requested via email but not for urgent appointments.

We have appointments that can be booked up to 8 weeks in advance and also slots available for urgent, same day appointments.

Urgent appointments: If you need to be seen urgently please contact the surgery as close as you can to 8.00am, you will be triaged and offered a same day appointment if required.

Under 16's: All children under 16 years of age with an acute, urgent presentation, will be offered a same day consultation.

Appointments are 15 minutes and for one person and one problem only.

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with either our Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Practice Nurse rather than a Doctor. They are qualified to deal with many ailments.

Cancellations

From 01/01/2024 to 31/12/2024, 286 appointments were missed.  This is 4,290 hours of clinical time wasted and amounts to a cost of £11,440 to the practice.

In June 2025, we had 17 missed appointments.  That is over 4 hours of appointments that could have been given to patients who really need them.  If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason, please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
